About Nepal

5. People and Religion
Nepalese people are mostly separated into two groups: Ind-Aryans and Mongolians. All of these communities come together spiritually and culturally in the Kathmandu Valley. Nepal is the world’s only Hindu kingdom. Lord Buddha, known as the Light of Asia, was born in Nepal. Nepal has a rich blend of Hinduism and Buddhism. Aside from these, other religions, such as Islam and Jainism, are also observed and practiced.
